"Agent 79! You're late!" says Dr Montague. He spots the SaxaPhonic in your hand and smiles, leaning back on his chair. "Late night at the club?"

"Well …" you admit, "When the spirit grabs you…"

"And when he's got cash in the other hand, you're more willing to listen, right?"

"Hey! I do it for the love!"

Dr Montague motions to the Briefing Room, "And let me guess. You joined us just for the thrill of it."

"Absolutely!" you say. "That, and the body-mods. I even hope to get a gold watch at the end of all this."

"You've got a few more missions ahead of you yet, kiddo."

You give him a wary smile as you head to one of the Bureau's Briefing Stations. After logging in, you scroll through available missions, until one catches your eye.

Zahra Edwards is in danger.

Dr Montague looks at you gravely. "We know that she's your sister. If you don't think you can do it, say so now." You say nothing, but read on.

She is being held against her will by Kaspar Lennox of the Grey Collective. Her current location is unknown. Her last known location was Aurelia's Fountain, DeMannon's Ladder.

"Oh, man…"

"He's got it in for you kid, there's no doubting it. Then again, we're not exactly best pals with the Grey Collective, either."

"Well, that clinches it," you tell him. "I'm doing the mission. And before you ask, yes, I'm sure."

You hit the `Download' button. The details on the screen spring to life on your CommuniPanion.

Dr Montague smiles. "We wouldn't give you the mission if we didn't think you were worthy of it. Good luck kid. We're not planning on losing you yet."

You nod. You are already there. Zahra is already cheering you on at your next gig. You know you won't fail.

Career, job, or hobby … it's your choice
Missions of any sort may be found via the Continuum or your personal CommuniPanion, However, the big rewards come via game organisations called the Overarchy who conduct their own missions to promote their goals or sabotage their rivals.

A persistent record of your growing character skills and experience are kept on the server, along with your personal affiliations and grudges. With 46 different skills, there's always something new to try out.

A Mission Tailored for You
The Mission Generator looks at your personal history of contacts, affiliations and grudges, your mission preferences and skills, and your standing within a faction - and offers a choice of missions that are specifically tailored to your needs and level of experience. Locations, items, and characters involved are all dynamically generated.

Real motivations, Real friends and enemies
As the game progresses, characters will begin to appear repeatedly in your quests. A cast of sworn friends and bitter enemies will soon grow in your personal history.

Sophisticated NPC Reactions
Form valuable alliances with realistic NPCs, whose attitudes towards you will change for better or worse, depending on your standing, and your treatment towards them.

Work your way up the ladder to success
As your skills and experience increase, so will your standing in the Overarch - and so too will the attitudes of your superiors warm towards you. You will gain access to new and exciting areas, equipment, and experiences. You may even start your own Overarch, to devise and distribute missions to others.

Deal with your past
As your pre-mind erasure memories begin to return, you will learn of relatives and friends from your former life. Will they be a part of your new life or are you content to let bygones be bygones? The answer is up to you.
